I wish to express my gratitude and admiration for your performance of Grenvil in La Traviata staged last Saturday at Artime Theater. You were excellent in acting and singing not only on your assigned role but also in supporting the Chorus and the cast as needed.

I encourage you to keep working on your preparation to face new challenges in the opera in Miami or elsewhere. Miami Lyric Opera is focusing to create a sustainable opera company and singers like your are welcomed to sing with us.

Congratulations!

Sincerely

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

This letter is in reference to Bass-Baritone, GIBSON DORCÉ.

I can unequivocally state that he is an excellent singer who is capable in all areas in the art of singing.

Mr. Dorcé is dedicated to constant improvement in his technique which is, of course, the characteristic of a true singer. His enthusiasm as a performer is notable for his ability to move the audience not only with his voice, but also with the warmth of his delivery.

Mr. Dorcé is more than capable of performing for more than an hour. He was able to rehearse consistently with ease in vocal production during his recent appearance with our company in the part of Melchoir in Menotti's work Amahl and the Night Visitors.

This was also true with his performances in other concerts and programs.

Sincerely,

Mrs. B. G. Smith

To whom it may concern:

This is a letter of support for Gibson Dorcé.

Mr. Dorcé has been a distinguished member of the Palm Beach Opera Chorus, as well as our Opera Workshop, since 1997.

He has participated in main stage productions, performing some secondary roles such as:

  • Sergeant in Puccini's LA BOHEME

  • Cappadoccian in Strauss' SALOME

  • Fiorello in Rossini's BARBER OF SEVILLE.

This coming season he will perform the role of Herald in Verdi's OTHELLO.

Gibson always comes well prepared for rehearsals and I can attest to his musicianship, acting skills, discipline and stage presence.  And I recommend him to you wholeheartedly.

Sincerely,

Maestro Anton Guadagno
